Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 24, 2026

SchoolGPT is a teacher productivity tool for adult educators. We collect only the information needed to run the service, protect accounts, generate classroom materials, and support users. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your content to train AI models.

Information we collect

We collect account information such as your name, email address, password authentication data, and sign-in method. We also collect the prompts, tool inputs, generated outputs, saved resources, and files you choose to use with SchoolGPT.

We collect basic technical information such as device type, browser type, IP address, cookies needed for sign-in, product usage events, and error logs. This helps us keep the product secure and reliable.

Student information

SchoolGPT is not designed for student accounts and does not require student personally identifiable information. Do not enter student names, student IDs, health details, disciplinary records, or other information that identifies a specific student.

If student information is entered by mistake, contact support@schoolgpt.app and we can help delete it.

How we use information

  • Provide the SchoolGPT app, tools, chat, saved resources, and account features.
  • Send prompts to AI providers so requested teaching materials can be generated.
  • Provide support, troubleshoot bugs, and respond to user requests.
  • Improve product quality, prevent abuse, and keep accounts secure.
  • Comply with legal, security, and payment obligations.

Service providers

We use service providers for hosting, authentication, file storage, payments, analytics, email, and AI model access. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services to SchoolGPT.

AI requests may be processed by third-party AI providers through OpenRouter or similar infrastructure. Your prompts and outputs are sent only to generate the response you requested.

Data sharing

We do not sell personal data. We may share information with service providers, when required by law, to protect the safety and security of SchoolGPT, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Security and retention

We use HTTPS, account access controls, password hashing, and other reasonable safeguards to protect data. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so you should avoid entering sensitive personal data into prompts.

We keep account and usage data while your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and related content by contacting support@schoolgpt.app.

Your choices

You can access, update, export, or delete many types of account content inside SchoolGPT. You can also ask us to delete your account, unsubscribe from nonessential emails, or answer privacy questions by emailing support@schoolgpt.app.

Schools and districts

Schools and districts can request a Data Processing Agreement or privacy review by contacting support@schoolgpt.app. SchoolGPT is intended to support educator workflows without collecting student education records.

Changes and contact

We may update this Privacy Policy as SchoolGPT changes. The updated date at the top of this page will show when changes were made.

Questions can be sent to support@schoolgpt.app.
